About Word Dash
Word Dash is a free word unscramble game with a timer that tests how fast you can rearrange letters into real words. Each round shows you a scrambled word from one of six categories (Animals, Food, Places, Sports, Nature, and Science) and gives you a 60-second countdown to solve it.
How to play Word Dash?
When the round starts, scrambled letter tiles appear on screen. Drag or tap letter tiles into the answer slots to spell the word. The game checks your answer automatically when all slots are filled. The timer counts down from 60 seconds, so solve before it hits zero.
Each correct answer earns base points (word length x 10) multiplied by your current combo. Your combo increases by one for every consecutive correct answer, up to x8. A wrong answer costs a life and resets your combo to x1. Letting the timer run out also costs a life and resets the combo.
Tap the Hint button to reveal the next correct letter in the answer. You get two hints per word, and each one costs 20 points from your score. Use them when you are stuck and the timer is running low.

Tips and strategy
- 1Drag the letters you are confident about first. If you can spot the first letter or two, placing them narrows down what the rest could be and speeds up your solve.
- 2Chain correct answers to build your combo. Each consecutive right answer bumps the multiplier by one, up to x8. A wrong answer or a timeout resets it to x1, so accuracy matters more than raw speed.
- 3Save hints for when you are truly stuck. You get two per word for 20 points each, so use the first one early if it unlocks the rest of the word, and hold the second as a backup.
- 4Learn the category patterns. Animal words tend to be shorter, Science words tend to be longer. If you see a long scramble in Animals, think of less common creatures.
