About Emoji Match
Emoji Match is a free memory card game you play in your browser. Click or tap cards to flip them and reveal emoji. Your goal is to find all the matching pairs on the board. It is a simple matching game that works for kids and adults alike.
How to play Emoji Match?
Pick a difficulty level: Easy (8 pairs), Medium (12 pairs), or Hard (18 pairs). The board fills with face-down cards. Click any card to flip it and reveal the emoji underneath, then click a second card. If both cards show the same emoji, they stay face-up. If they do not match, they flip back over.
Keep flipping pairs until you find every match on the board. Try to remember the position of each emoji you have already seen, because you will need that memory to pair them up later.
The game tracks your move count and the time you take to clear the board. There is no countdown or time limit. You win by finding all pairs, and you can try to beat your time on the next round. On mobile, tap cards instead of clicking.

Tips and strategy
- 1Flip cards in pairs, not one at a time. Pick a card, then try to remember where you saw its match earlier. Random flipping wastes moves.
- 2Memorize the corners first. Cards in corners are easier to remember because they have a fixed position, so anchor your mental map around them.
- 3Work systematically across the grid. Go left to right, top to bottom, so you build a consistent mental image of where each emoji sits.
- 4On Hard difficulty with 18 pairs, do not try to remember every card at once. Focus on one section of the grid at a time and expand outward.
